We are here to support veterans as well as active duty and reserve military forces and their families.  We moved to our current location from downtown Austin in 1979

What We Do

We assist veterans with veterans benefits and how to apply for them.

We provide a Post Home Lounge for the enjoyment of our members and their guests. Check the "Events" page for what is going on.

We have BINGO on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays which is open to the public. See our 'Bingo"  page for information.

Our hall and BBQ Pavillion is available to rent for your special occasions. Look at our "Hall Rental" page for more information and the contact phone number.

We support several local charities as well as American Legion programs such as Boys State and Girls State.

If you are not a veteran - you still maybe eligible to join the Ladies Auxiliary or Sons of the American Legion - check out the eligibility requirements on their page.

As a veterans, if you served during WW 1, WW2, Korean War, Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama or the Persian Gulf War you are eligible to join the American Legion.

Please stop by for a visit - we would like to meet you and show you around our Post Home. Certainly you can bring a guest or two.

Texas in your RV - you can dry camp in our parking lot. Austin Lone Star RV Resort is  only 2 miles away.  As a veteran you will receive 50% of the normal rate of $44.00 per night.
